Post Realty is proud to announce a new feature of our online presence. There are many places to find properties for sale, or rent, but where can you go when you just have a question you would like to ask?
And the best part? It will be answered by Todd Post or a member of his team. Post Realty has been named Best of Region for several years in a row now and there is a reason why. They care.
There is NO COST.
There is NO OBLIGATION.
No real rules, ask away!
Just a conversation where you get an authoritative answer, or at the very least, sent in a direction where the answer can be found.
So… What is YOUR question? Todd sez “Bring ‘em on!!” And if you know Todd, he is ready.

Hi Todd,
I’ll give this a shot. Seems like a great feature and public service, so will say thanks in advance for your reply.
Anyhoo, i’ve been thinking of selling my house and maybe getting one a little bigger… and newer – more energy efficient. but with all the crap we hear everyday about the economy and the housing market, how do I know what to ask for my house? I hear there was a housing bubble and then I hear CNY escaped it by and large because we never had the enormous price fluctuations.
What is the truth about the Auburn Market?
Hi Tony I feel the Auburn real estate market is doing very very well compared to the rest of the country. The media really does a number on the market nationally. Tony to get a true value of your home i would to set an appointment with you to give you the true value of what its worth.. I will prepare a CMA for you at no cost. There was a housing bubble and yes the entire country had gains in value for 15% to over 300%. We in CNY were the who only received the !5% to 30% Since then it has pulled back and flat lined. The market in Auburn is a buyers market. As a seller with all the curent inventory Tony you have to set your home to stand out from the rest of competing homes in the market. I think it is very smart at this time with the rise of Taxes, gas and electric ,Insurance cost, and upkeep the industry nationally when it comes to buying or building is moving towards the smaller and energy efficient homes patio style or condos. The days of the big white elephants as i call them is drawing to a near. I hope i answered all of your questions Tony. Pleas feel free to call me or email me at any time Todd R Post Broker/Owner of Post Realty. 315-729-4120
Hi Mr Post,
I’ve gotten myself thru college and found a pretty good job just outside of Auburn. I don’t know if it makes any difference, but I do have a 4 yo daughter too. I’ve saved a little money and may even be able to get my parents to help me out if need be, as I would “LOVE” to get into my own house. We don’t need anything to big, but they all are expensive.
At this stage, how can I tell if I qualify to be able to get into a house right now, or if I should save a little more and think about it in another couple years. I just hate spending all that money in rent though, when it seems like it could go towards buying my own place.
How can I tell what I qualify to get into? Any suggestions?
Lotsa, thanks!
Ashley
PS: I really like the new website. Makes search a breeze, even if it is only a dream at this point.
What an awesome real estate website! Best one I’ve seen.
HI Ashley
IM am very happy you like the new website if you have any questions feel free to call me or email with them i will get back to you asap. First of all there is a program offered ny the USDA which is a no money down program. There are many bank that offer this program. I would like to talk to you one on one to discuss this further if thats ok with you. Explain in detail step by step of what to do. First thing is to get qualified from a local bank or broker. Ashley people think you need a lot of money to buy a house, there are programs that are still offered for first time home buyers, such as FHA,VA,USDA.
When you rent a house every month you are building your landlord equity when it could be you. When you own your home you have an asset that is building equity, its like a long term savings account. Ashley you also have a tax write off that your accountant can explain to you. Owning your home is the biggest asset you will ever have and it is a dream that will come true. i hope i answered all you questions Ashley thanks for the question . Todd

Hi Todd,
I’m thinking of selling my house. What should I be thinking of to prepare myself and the house for sale? any hints? And what is the best season to put it on the market for the best response?
Thanks,
Josie
Hi Josie
Its a pleasure to here from you. When getting your house prepared to sell it is so important that the home is ready I have put together a checklist of items to prepare your home. With the winter being very mild and spring very close i suggest that your home should be put on the market in the next two to three weeks. I would love to sit down and look at your property to give you an idea of what your home may need to generate the top selling price. please feel free to call me at 315-729-4120 Todd
